The Mini Maxx race tuner is part of the next generation of diesel downloaders from H&S that offer everything a diesel owner could want, all in one high-tech unit. Exclusive to H&S Performance, the Mini Maxx offers the flexibility of shift-on-the-fly tuning (all applications except 2011-2016 GMC/Chevrolet & 2017-2019 Ford), as well as giving you the ability to monitor vital engine statistics at a glance. The monitor allows the user to view up to four parameters at one time. Choose from 20+ engine parameters including boost, transmission temp, intake temp, fuel rail pressure, exhaust gas temps, plus many more (varies depending on application).

If using DPF removed tuning, this tuner requires the use of Race Exhaust! Do not leave the DPF on the vehicle if using DPF removed tuning!

  • Does it come with a mount for the dash to set it up?

    Yes, it will come with a windshield / dash (suction cup) mount, as well as two adhesive velco patches for mounting purposes.

  • Will this still work when I have a 35hp tow tune. No programmer

    You will need to unpair/uninstall any tune connected to the vehicle before this will be able to be installed correctly.

  • Will I need anything else besides the turner to finish the install?

    You will need a CAT/DPF Delete Pipe installed if using DPF removed tuning. 

    Do not leave the DPF in the vehicle if using DPF removed tuning.

  • Got a 2012 came with Efi live not working. will this write over it

    No, you will need to have the previous tune uninstralled and removed from the vehicle before installing a new MiniMaxx device.

  • Does this work on 2015 F350, 6.7 Diesel


  • I have a 08 Ford F-250 6.4 with a turner that's not working good and I'm wanting to up ground do I need to go to the ford dealer and set it back to stock

    Yes, this will ensure that a new tuner will be able to properly connect to your vehicle.

  • So do these have the ability for custom tunes? Like aftermarket turbo/manifold setup fass 150 exhaust etc

    These tuners are pre-loaded with tunes and do not support custom tuning.

  • Does the egr have to be deleted on a 2011 f150 or can it be in plugged?

    The tuner will electronically bypass the EGR system without needing to unplug any sensors.

  • Does this work with the newer 2018 powerstroke

    No, this is only compatible with model years 2003 - 2015 Ford Powerstroke.

  • Can I use this with stock exhaust until I purchase new exhaust?

    The vehicle may run, but it will most likely be in reduced power (limp) mode. It is advised to install with a race exhaust for maximum efficiency & performance.

  • Does this work with all 4th gen rams?

    Only 2006-2012 model years.

  • Can you run it in the stock tune with the DPF deleted?

  • I just installed the tuner on my 2013 f350. The switch where it says key or battery, I have it on key option. But when I turn my key off the tuner stays on?

    This may be a wiring issue with your vehicle as its powered with your ignition switch

    We cant say for certain. There is a chance it could but we are not able to say with 100% confidence it will.


  • Will this tuner override an outside sources tune in a truck?

    Depending on the tune it might, but could potentially not work also.

  • I have a 6.4l powerstroke and the current tune is hard to drive in 4wd low. The trottle is way to touchy its either idle or tires spinning. Will the tow mode make the trottle more like stock?

    The mode will not affect throttle responsiveness. There are throttle sensitivity kits you can purchase that should rectify this issue.


  • deleted EGR and did the DPF filter but we need the tuner. How does it work? What do we do after installation?

    The vehicle will recognize the deletes done, you just need to plug in the tuner to your vehicle and got through the steps.
    We do always reccomend having this installed by a licensed/certified diesel technician.

  • Do you guys offer the trans tuning also?

    Yes for dodges the H&S can come with transmission tuning. For other models you will have to use the EFI live.


  • Can you just use the delete tunes and remove the monitor?

    The monitor has to stay plugged in but it can be hidden under the dash or elsewhere.

  • Can you delete engine lights

    Yes this kit will remove any emissions related engine lights

  • Where do I purchase the egt probe for the mini maxx tuner?

    The bullydog probe on our website will work for the minimax tuner
